We’ve been told that time has a way of healing all, but I would argue that with time, we realize that the situation we overcame or endured is still unresolved within us. Maybe our healing has taken place, yet we’re still wrestling with how to forgive ourselves or others. Maybe the wound is still fresh, and no matter how much time passes, we’re still filled with anger. Maybe it’s hard for us to accept that healing might just mean suffering, and it feels like much too large of a feat for us to take on. God has created a universe so in tune with our soul’s needs, that we’ll continue to run into the same road block until we prove to God that we are ready let go and give it to him. When we trust God in this way, we start to see our pain differently. When we speak on what God has brought us through, it’s a testimony. When we listen to people around us speak on similar trials, we are prepared to speak goodness and deliverance over their situation. God does not allow us to experience our darkest moments so that we may stay there and wither, but rather so that we may see ourselves bloom fully and completely in his glorious light, and that light is Jesus Christ.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:7-11 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4 BeYOUtiful, keep life sweet, & never stop feeding your soul. -xo
